[CREDiTS]
Historically of course the Kriegsmarine, but many years later came some DEF-developers and made it a playable set of orders:

       Campaign-concept and texts: GD
System and software for reporting, scoring, statistics: BK
       Graphics: RF

[HiSTORiC BACKGROUND]
The Arctic Campaign became a necessarity after hipocrit USA "officially" entered the war and started supporting and providing the Russians
with war material after the US Navy had been playing their false game for long:

On paper they pretended to be neutral, but it was long known that their escorts protected British convoys more than often,
while the German U-Boote were to follow their strict orders to not attack any US-flagged shipping at all to avoid having the
U.S. enter the war - which had already turned the tide in the first part of this war...

But this was to change after the Japanese conducted their air raid on Pearl Harbor and caused unbelievable havoc...
...and their twofaced game cost the U.S. approximately 400 ships and 5000 sailors with more than 2.000.000 tons lost!

Late 1941, early 1942 the Allies started sending material to the Russians under they their "Lend-Lease policy",
socalled "Nordmeerkonvois" sailed for Russian "Eismeerhafen" in Archangelsk and Murmansk
and the Germans, who failed to capture either port, now sent their U-Boote to cut off these supply lines... Gute Jagd!

[HiSTORiC KOMMANDANT]
Korvettenkapitaen Hans Cohausz portrays the historic "Kommandant der 11. U-Flottille."

The 11. Unterseebootsflottille was formed on 19420515 in Bergen, Norway.
The flotilla operated mainly in the North Sea and against the Russian convoys (JW-, PQ-, QP- and RA series) in the Arctic Sea,
deploying various marks of the Type VII U-Boot until September 1944, when it had an influx of some Type IX boats from France.

It also was the only flotilla to field the Type XXI U-Boot for operational use...Late 1944 the 7.UF came to assist after French bases were lost
