Mission-Idea: Attack on Aruba

This was an idea by Kendras (Fahnenbohn) back some time on SuSi, has this ever been done?
The only feedback K/FB received was from this Niume-idiot who always asks the same idiotic questions as K/FB did.

Mission-Idea: Man bites dog
  • Another idea is a "man bites dog" mission where the purpose is to protect a convoy rather than destroy one. I know it would not be historicaly accurate - but would it not be fun to play for a change? There had been such missions for SH2, where where your U-Boot joined an Axis convoy and acted as an extra escort, in that path were placed a few patrols plus aircraft attacking  on both sides, it probably wasn't accurate but it was fun.

Mission-Idea: Save the Atlantis!
Coincidently reading up about Rogge, I dwelved more and more into it and asked myself: Why not made such an MP-mission?

Story could be:
Our Luftwaffe-air-reconnaisance reports enemy cruisers closing in to Atlantis. Your wolfpack are the only units that are nearby and able to assist. Save our Atlantis!

ABWEHR I-M INTELLIGENCE REPORT

DATUM: 19411123
VON:   Befehlshaber der Unterseeboote
AN:    Alle Kommandanten

The following information is to be disseminated to all U-Boot Kommandanten.

Yesterday morning a British Heavy Cruiser sighted and engaged our surface raider Atlantis (HSK-2) in the South Atlantik. U-126 was present during the engagement, but was unable to bring torpedoes to bare against the British warship. After several direct hits from enemy 200 mm guns, which killed 7 sailors, Kapitän Bernhard Rogge ordered Altantis scuttled. The enemy cruiser quickly left the scene aware of the presence of U-126. Some 300 survivors were rescued by U-126 and are currently in tow. Python has been ordered to rendezvous to take the survivors aboard.

Kapitän Bernhard Rogge is to be commended for his actions as Kommandant of Atlantis. In the 20 months she was at sea, Atlantis was responsible for capturing and sinking 22 enemy merchants for 145.960 registered gross tons.

Python will be unavailable for refueling until after her rendezvous with U-126.

ABWEHR I-M INTELLIGENCE REPORT

DATUM: 19411202
VON:   Befehlshaber der Unterseeboote
AN:    Alle Kommandanten

The following information is to be disseminated to all U-Boot-Kommandanten.

At approximately 1830 yesterday evening, 19411201, a final report was received from our resupplier Ship Python at location 27°53’S 03°55’W that she was under attack from a British Heavy Cruiser. Her Kommandant, KptLt. Lueders, ordered the Python scuttled rather than have her fall into enemy hands. U-Boote U-A and U-68 were alongside Python when the cruiser was sighted and both were able to submerge without incident. U-Boot U-A fired five torpedoes at the attacking cruiser but all missed their mark.

After Python was scuttled, the enemy cruiser quickly departed the scene aware of our U-Boots in the immediate area. U-A and U-68 report that they have taken survival floats in tow with a reported 414 survivors from Python, including many of the crew from the German raider ship Atlantis, which was scuttled only nine days earlier in a similar situation.

Two additional German U-Boote and four U-Boote from the Italian Navy are currently enroute to assist in the rescue of the survivors.

With the loss of Python, we currently have no refueling and resupply capability in the Süd Atlantik.  All Flottillenchefs and U-Boot-Kommandanten should plan accordingly.

Mission-Idea: OPERACION HUSKY CORKSCREW
SM OPERACION HUSKY CORKSCREW.rar is a single player 1.4b mission which requires installation via JSGME. It adds 2 new ports: Pantelleria and Cagliari.

It is in beta, obviously never fully tested and finalized. When I ran the mission, Pantelleria and Cagliari did not appear on the navigation map.

I believe the author has lost interest in finishing it.

Update: There is a German W-forum, where the KM-Operations are listed and discussed:
