An excellent patrol, Kommandant.  Tonight, your meal and drinks at Scheherazade Night Club are on me. 

Your U-Boot will undergo inspection for repairs and refit, and then into drydock.  In the meantime, you are
cleared to send your men on leave. Report back when your U-Boot is ready for its next patrol.

For having successfully completed your second major combat patrol,  and sinking 272,738 tonnes of Allied ships, I am pleased to announce that
you have been promoted to Oberleutnant zur See. 

Congratulations, Oberleutnant Hartenstein.

Also, it is with great pleasure that I present you with the Ritterkreuz (Knight's Cross) for continuous bravery before the enemy and excellence in
commanding U-156 in American waters during Phase II of Operation Paukenschlag.
 


It is also noteworthy that Oberleutnant Hartenstein has also received the Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse (Iron Cross 1st Class) and the Eisernes Kreuz
2. Klasse (Iron Cross Second Class) during this same extended combat patrol.





Lastly, I take great pleasure in awarding the U-Boot-Kriegs-Abzeichen (U-Boot Badge) for sinking over 100,000 tons of merchant shipping.
