I really managed to score a hit on the Illustrious, which in the end left her dead in the water.
But then (I really waited more than one hour RL time!!) came the Luftwaffe and sank it - no credit for me.

This mission was good for an experiment: A long gameplay. In fact I played this mission for 17 hours!


I even went to sleep after I butt-shot this one destroyed and went hinding under it:


Very shallow waters, depth was only some 40 meters. So I had little other opportunity.
And it took ages to slip out under that immobile DD and shake the last two off...
Batteries were already down to less than 20%.

I then surfaced the U-Boot, reloaded externals and then went to sink that DD.
Out of a sudden the other appeared and fired at me. Back to dive, same procedure.

U-Boot was heavily damaged, but we made it... to fight another day...

Dang! My wolfpack-friend was sunk, 4 Escorts and their hedge-hogs hunting me.
Evaded 3 of them, was then hit by HHs blew ballast from 220m to 80m, would not dare to go beneath 100m.
Did well.. but ... another HH... blew again to 40m and then got hit.
Meanwhile all 4 came back - and a fifth at the horizon!!
Blew again to save my crew - and took that one Flower with me, at least that!
