As we know throughout the years, command chains can come in handy in a many situations that SH3 presents us with.

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1016]Setkeys is capable to assign up to six keys to one command and includes this macro-function of chain commands, its latest version being the 1.3. Do not be fooled by "special" versions like the one from LSH. Nothing is different there, only one simple background graphic was changed.

SH Keymapper, by jimimadrid, is available at Plissken's. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...171019&page=19. IMO, it is the easiest to use. It too is generic for any SH Commands.cfg file. And it supports command chaining.

Let's talk about our favorite KEY command chains here and collect them!

Which are yours - post your favorites here!

My favorites are:

  • "Shift+A" to man the Flakguns, order aiming at any incoming aircraft and open fire over long distance
  • [F4] F [F4] G [F4] T [F4]getting your crew to use all possible Flak (if you got multiple AA Guns mounted)
  • X - Schnorchel-depth AND RAISE Schnorchel
  • S - Surface AND LOWER Schnorchel
  • Somewhere I have also seen AK ahead, double knuckle
  • Command chains are useful under emergency conditions to ease the stress of the situation. So "Crash dive" and "Depth under keel" may be a useful command chain - especially in shallow waters.

Ctrl+Enter Fire a torpedo
Ctrl+A Switch TDC auto/manual
Ctrl+S Surface
Ctrl+E Blow ballast
Ctrl+B Get depth under the keel
Ctrl+W Kapitan's bed view
