MAX DISTANCE CHART
This chart shows the maximum distance a Type VIIc can travel submerged as a function of speed, which may come in handy when crossing the Straits of Gibraltar.  The chart assumes that you want at least 20 percent (10 x100A) battery power left and that you do not want to go into the RED area of oxygen remaining (2/8) on surfacing just in case you need to re-submerge due to an aircraft or warship sighting. The last speed entry represents about 60% battery use at one-third speed and 20% battery use at slow speed.  The table assumes you have the latest AFA 27 MAK 800 batteries.
